GRAN SASSO PARK AND MONTI DELLA LAGA

The territory of the Gran Sasso National Park and Monti della Laga actually make up a “European Monument of biodiversity”. It is a linking territory between the Euro Siberian region and the Mediterranean one, in which the highest mountain of the Apennines is located. It also contains the only glacier in Southern Europe, the Calderone glacier.
